Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers everywhere! You do so much for your children and others in your life. Thank you!
We had a very nice Mother’s Day celebration here at home although it was a little quitter than normal. Mary Jr. fixed a great tasting roast with all the trimmings. Mary Sr. brought desert and Lois, Mary’s Mom, brought green beans. There was plenty to eat 😉 Joe was here. Tiffany had been helping some of the flood victims in their neighborhood on Saturday. There was lots of mold, etc. and Tiffany was concerned that she would bring some “bad bugs” that would not be good for me so she stayed home. Terri was here, but she had had outpatient surgery on Friday and was still tired from that procedure. Mike was working so Mary sent some good left-overs for Mike’s dinner.
Today is the last day of my second round of chemotherapy. I was tired this afternoon, especially after the big dinner! So I was a party-pooper and slept much of the afternoon. Mom went to see Dad in the nursing home. They had a special “Mother’s Day” tea so Mom was there to enjoy that. Dad was doing okay, not great, but okay.
I sure did miss you guys on Sunday! I can’t wait to see you guys again 🙂
Love,
Tiff
