Tonight Mary, Sr. (my Mom), Lois (Mary’s Mom), Mary, Jr. (my wife) and I went to the local Chick-fill-a to support Emmett Stallings who is also conquering cancer. Chick-fil-a donated a percentage of all sales to Emmett and Wendy for medical costs. The turnout was tremendous and the atmosphere was very positive and supportive.
Wendy (Emmett’s wife) was one of Mary’s student at Belmont University until she had to drop out to care for Emmett and their son, Quinn, full time. They are very gracious and loving people. To follow Emmet’s journey or to make a donation, visit www.teamemmett.com.
As for me, today is another good day. Feeling some fatigue, so I just move a little more slowly – no running up and down the stairs.
