Great news! The CT Scan taken on Monday shows no sign any cancerous “stuff” – all clear, no change from 3 months ago. Dr. Barbara is pleased and so am I 🙂
I bragged a little about completing the half-marathon at the end of April plus walking an average of over 10,000 steps a day. Dr. Barbara and her assistant were delighted with my progress.
Dr. Barbara told me about another voluntary research study that she’s conducting. Most people who have received radiation treatment for head and neck cancer experience dental health side effects. I can appreciate that. It’s actually pretty “easy” to participate. Just complete a series of questionnaires and then a routine evaluation by a dentist. I’ve got the paperwork/consent forms, and I plan to participate.
Next scan will be in 3 months at my one year anniversary of completing treatment. I’m feeling good and grateful that the scan was all clear!
