Great news today from my radiation oncologist, Dr. C. – the CT scan taken earlier this week showed no evidence of cancer 😉 Mary and I are elated, to say the least!
So nine weeks of chemotherapy followed by eight weeks of radiation with chemotherapy worked! The doctor said the treatment regimen was aggressive, but the typical results are very good for patients it my circumstances – early diagnosis, otherwise good health and non-smoker.
I will continue to have follow-up CT scans for the next few years to make sure the cancer has not returned.
I have been very fortunate throughout my treatment with minimal side effects thanks to the love, support, and prayers from lots of people that accompanied the awesome medical teams and medical treatments.
