Thanks to one of my Twitter followers, I found a great web site to track your workouts and stay motivated. Checkout www.dailymile.com and see if you agree. You can compete with yourself or with your friends. Or map your routes. Also, your friends can post encouragement to keep you motivated.
The site is designed for runners, cyclists, triathletes, walkers, or any athlete. There is a great community area where you can find others nearby with similar interests or join a “challenge” group. If that’s not enough, you can checkout the forums or find an event. You can connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts and the site will post your workout directly!
I was able to sync up my Garmin Forerunner 305 with the site and import my 92 workouts from the first of March. Over 330 miles so far! Click here. Since I am very competitive and love numbers, I really like the Analytics section. See your stats for the last 30 days or 26 weeks or 12 months plus lifetime (or at least as much data as you provide). See an example below.
I’m excited that I found this site and plan to keep my workouts updated. I encourage you to sign-up (it’s free) and get started too. When you do, add me as a friend (Dick_Foster) and we can encourage each other to stay focused!
